Itinerary
Arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / transfer to Phuentsholing/Jaigaon is 170 kilometres and 6 hours drive from Siliguri-Phuentsholing is in India and Bhutan border-The Indian side is called Jaigaon and the Bhutanese side is called Phuentsholing- Indian Nationals don’t require visa or passport to visit rest of Bhutan but any identity document like election commission I.D card is required-Permit is not required for visiting Phuentsholing only but other parts of Bhutan-Check into the hotel. Evening free at leisure -Overnight stay in Phuentsholing
After breakfast-Passing through the beautiful landscape we proceed to Thimphu(2320 metres/7656 feet)-Thimphu is 172 kilometres and 7 hours drive from Phuentsholing-Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan is beautiful valley with a mixture of modern facilities and culture-Thimphu Valley has cradled its culture and tradition in a sustainable manner since 1216-The valley is surrounded by hills and provides outstanding view-Adventure sports like hiking,trekking,river rafting and wildlife excursion is available here-One can get to see colorful festivals and dance celebrated in the dzongs of Thimphu on a festival days-Don’t forget to taste the butter tea-Check into Hotel-Overnight stay in a hotel in Thimphu.
Early morning breakfast – Drive and visit the Memorial Chorten (Stupa) built in memory of the third King of Bhutan, Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, who was called the Father of modern Bhutan – Next the National Library where ancient manuscripts are preserved, Wood Craft and Painting School – The handicrafts Emporium which has beautiful and creative collection of textile arts, and indigenous fibres-Future plans of becoming a center of textile learning – Tashichho Dzong is also called fortress of the glorious religion-The dzong houses main secretariat building and is the throne of His Majesty, King Of Bhutan-During the summer months His Holiness,Je Khenpo visits the dzong.-The car will be at your disposal – Other places to visit are National Zoo, National Institute of Traditional medicine, Traditional Paper Factory(made from Daphne Plant)-Please note it is not possible to cover all the sites mentioned above in a single day-Back to Hotel-In the evening local markets like handicraft shops, weekend market(Saturdays and Sundays),Craft Bazaar(Tuesday and Wednesday) can be visited-Overnight stay in Thimphu
Nearly 100 kilometers, nearly 3 ½ – 4 hours drive – After early breakfast, drive up to Dochu-la pass (3,088m/ 10,130 ft) to take in the view and admire the chorten, mani wall, and prayer flags which decorate the highest point on the road – If skies are clear, the following peaks can be seen from this pass Masagang (7158 meters), Tsendagang (6960 meters), Terigang (7060 meters), Jejegangphugang (7158 meters), Kangphugang (7170 meters ), Zong Huang (7060 meters), etc – finally Gangkar puensum, the highest peak in Bhutan at 7497 meters – Next drive to Paro visiting Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress of the country built in 1627 on the way – Evening stroll around the area – Night stay at Paro

Early morning breakfast – Transfer from Paro to Jaigaon / Phuentsholing – A drive of nearly 180 kilometers, a drive of approximately 6 ½ – 7 hours – After breakfast transfer to Phuentsholing – On the way take a short stop at Chuzom, the confluence of Paro and Thimphu rivers with three different style of stupas adorn this confluence – Drive further through Captcha and later take glimpse of famous Chukha Dam and the magnificent Vince waterfall before Gedu town – Arrive Phuentsholing by evening and check into the hotel – Evening free to stroll around the area – Night stay at hotel in Phuentsholing

Travel documents
- include (without limitation) airline tickets, hotel vouchers, tour vouchers or any other document. (whether in electronic form or otherwise) used to confirm a travel and accommodation related arrangement with a service provider.

- All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder, some carriers will deny carriage if the name varies between the travel documents and the airline tickets and the booking may be cancelled subject to cancellation charges.

- Reference No: As soon as we receive a booking request a file no. will be sent to you, please note the same for future correspondence.
- Re-Confirmation: All bookings should be reconfirmed with us minimum 15 days prior to the date along with confirmed arrival details, failure on which will be considered as cancellation.
- Service Voucher: The client has to carry an “Service Voucher/Booking Receipt/Bill/Ticket” issued by the booking agent/operator and drawn in the name of “The Planning Travels” [email protected]. Please send us the copy of the same at the time of reconfirmation.
Cancellation Policy :
Cancellation has to be sent to us by email.
Booking day to 30 days – communication charges of Rs.2000.00 per person /As per actual.
- Cancellation Charge 30% of the Package Cost cancelled between 21-30 days before date of check in
- Cancellation Charge 50% of the Package Cost cancelled between 15-20 days before date of check in.
- Cancellation Charge 100% of the Package Cost if cancelled between 10-15 days before the date of check in. The above mentioned cancellation policy will not be applicable during Peak season and blackout dates.
- The 100% retention charge will be applicable during this period AMENDMENT: Amendment of booked tour will be treated as Cancellation. However, minor amendments can be made.

All bookings are made on Client’s behalf subject to the terms and conditions, including conditions of carriage and limitations of liability imposed by the service providers. If you have any issues or problems while travelling, please contact our operation team. The planning travels will not be held responsible for any costs incurred as a result of decisions made without prior agreement from your agent. The planning travels will not be liable for any delays/deficiencies of any services such as airlines or other transport facilities.

However, we cannot accept any liability of whatever nature, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, for the acts, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of these service providers, over whom we have no direct control. Under no circumstances shall the Company be liable to the Client and/or travelers/persons travelling with the Client for any personal injuries, sickness, loss of baggage or denial of visas. In any case, the Company shall not be liable towards any consequential loss, damage or extra costs suffered by the Client for any reasons whatsoever.
The tour guide reserves the right to make changes or omit any place of visit, if it becomes necessary due to bad weather, bad road, strike or band, security reasons etc. Kindly inform us if the guests are senior citizens or have health related issues (like arthritis, heart problems etc.) or any such matter which might need special arrangements. Some itineraries will not be suitable for them and we will suggest accordingly.
The security concerns, driver’s working hours etc. will be kept in mind while planning the tour and sightseeing.
We try to ensure that the sightseeing points do not fall on a closing day. In case due to an inevitable situation if the sightseeing falls on a closing day, it will have to be left out. Conducting that particular tour or sightseeing point the next day will be subject to time availability.
Weather in the region is unpredictable. We have kept your sightseeing related with nature flexible. The region’s prime tourist interest is its Nature and eco-friendly atmosphere. The facilities available here cannot be matched with other developed destinations.
Once the package is booked & confirmed no refund will be allowed. There will be no refund of any unutilized service in part or in full whatever may be the reason.
Note: For Northeast India – the ILP office remains closed on Saturday-Sunday and State / Central Government Holidays.
